PROJECT BRIEF
Year: Autumn 2022
Class: Intro To Interior Design I
Independent Project
Techniques: SketchUp & Adobe Photoshop
In this eight-week museum project, we were told to design an exhibition space for an iconic chair of our choice based on a designer. The process involved researching the designer and chair to create a space reflecting their principles, including essential areas like entrance, reception, storage, and a public gathering space. The final model, scaled at ⅜” = 1’, represented a 30’ x 40’ interior using materials like cardboard and bristol. Strategic placement of architectural elements considered paths, framed views, natural light, event sequence, and haptic sense. Deliverables comprised a floor plan, reflected ceiling plan, and two sections showcasing the final model.
