WELCOME TO MY DIGITAL PORTFOLIO!

My name is Ellie Gold and I am a fourth-year student in the interior design program at The Ohio State University. Growing up having a graphic designer for a mom and a dad immersed in video production and marketing, I was exposed to the process of good design and project management. This influence made me realize I wanted to pursue a career path in a creative field. I would describe myself as an energetic, creative problem solver and self-starter who thrives on collaboration with individuals sharing similar interests. I enjoy getting out of my comfort zone and exploring different mediums. Outside of design, I love hanging with my friends and family, listening to music, traveling, and experiencing new things.
Design, to me, is like piecing together a puzzle—one where I get to explore endless possibilities and find joy in solving the toughest challenges. And when it comes to projects, I’m all about putting myself in the shoes of the end user, creating spaces that speak to them on a personal level. As I continue to evolve as a designer, I’m learning that creativity isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about embracing the process and letting my imagination take charge. I am driven by the idea that one must create in order to think, and it is through this process of creation that I express myself most genuinely.
