PROJECT BRIEF
Year: Autumn 2023
Class: Intrm Int Design 1
Collaboration: Courtney Jagers,
Claire Sukert & Georgia Weeden
Techniques: Autodesk Revit & Adobe Photoshop
In this six-week design intervention project, we were told to focus on tackling interior design challenges at Ohio States campus using a two-phase approach. In Phase 1, our team conducted primary research on a university-related topic, applying insights from a design research course to develop 2-3 research methods for student-centric insights. Phase 2 involved translating key insights into tangible design ideas and implementing interventions in public spaces on the main campus. Whether macro or micro, human, digital, or physical, these interventions directly relate to research insights, ensuring a cohesive and impactful design strategy for the campus environment.
FINAL DELIVERABLES
Phase 1:
In Phase 1, I mainly focused on gathering important insights from survey questions and highlighting the actions our campus is already taking to meet Ohio State's sustainability goals.
Phase 2:
Following the presentation of Phase 1, we received feedback suggesting the incorporation of additional visual elements to effectively convey the key insights taken from each research method. Recommendations were made to reduce the amount of text on each slide, enhancing visibility of the visuals. Moreover, there was guidance to improve the overall design layout for a more organized and aesthetically pleasing presentation, emphasizing a neat and clean appearance.
