In this three-week redesign project, we were tasked with addressing a design challenge within an existing building by developing a compelling and innovative lighting strategy. To begin, we selected a project type—such as restaurant, retail, hospitality, workplace, or healthcare—choosing either a concept related to our capstone project or exploring a completely different focus. Building on our exploration of light’s functional and emotional aspects, we crafted a cohesive design that integrates natural and artificial light while considering layout, color temperature, and material relationships.
